Thermal stripper is 3.5" long at the nose and has a temperature control unit. Shown third down in the picture above. Completely self-contained. Uses no external transformer. Combines high production rates with consistenly high wiring reliability to aerospace standards. Strips all types of insulation - Teflon, nylon, glass, braid, rubber, neoprene, vinyl, plastic, etc. Special nickel-alloy, long-lasting blades heat to 1700°F in less than four seconds, and cool instantly. Blades are hot only when stripping. High-impact handle is always cool. Has adjustable strip and gauge stop so blades do not touch wire, giving a clean and square cut without melting insulation into wire strands. Operates on 115VAC and weighs 20 oz. Also available with solid state temperature control to adjust temperature from 100°F to 1700°F. Solid state control plugs directly into electrical outlet, eliminating bench clutter.
